The 69 Eyes

The 69 Eyes' box set "GOTH'N'ROLL" is out now! The box set contains three CDs and one DVD. It's out in Finland through Gaga Goodies/Poko Rekords/EMI Finland and in Europe through Nuclear Blast.

"Goth'N'Roll" documents The 69 Eyes' period from 1998 to 2003 when the band broke into the mainstream success in Finland and spread their Helsinki vampire bat wings over Europe. "Blessed Be" and "Paris Kills" are considered the band's classic gothic rock albums by both fans and critics alike. Both albums are here re-mastered with bonus tracks. The DVD is the same period's "Helsinki Vampires" also re-mastered incl. live show at Tavastia, Helsinki from 2002, all the videos, extras and also a never-before-released documentary "Bat Habit" from the same period. The third CD is "Goth'N'Roll Archives" which includes demos and never before released material from 1998 to 2003.

The beautiful python skin pvc wrapped box set is designed by Natas and the liner notes in the illustrated 28-page booklet are written by Natasha Scharf/Metal Hammer & TotalRock.

 The band is currently writing new material for the next album. The next 69 Eyes album is planned to come out in 2009. More news about this soon.

Jussi 69 is having his own radio show "Night Of The Vampires" every Friday on Radio Rock. He also hosts his own club nights under the same name at On The Rocks in Helsinki on every month's last Saturdays - next Nov.29th, Dec.27th. 

Jyrki 69 & Jussi 69 will team up on the Finnish Channel 4 for an environmental reality TV show "Operation Earth" for six weekly episodes from November to December 2008 - they have started a campaign to save the Baltic Sea - check out: Pirates Of The Baltic Sea!

The 69 Eyes will play their last show this year at HELLDONE FESTIVAL at Tavastia Club in Helsinki on December 30th, 2008.

The 69 Eyes started 2008 by releasing their first ever live album on January - "Hollywood Kills- Live At The Whisky A Go Go" is out through Virgin Finland. It rose straight to the Finnish TOP 20 after its release.  Check out the brand new video clip "Feel Berlin" from that show here!

"Angels" has gone well over gold in Finland. It went straight to NUMBER ONE on the Finnish album charts on its first week after release. Earlier "Perfect Skin", the first single release from the album, entered also number one on the singles chart. The next single "Never Say Die" was also for a long in the top 10 of the most played songs in the Finnish national radio airplay charts (#4, 16/2007). All The 69 Eyes albums and the DVD "Helsinki Vampires" since 2000's "Blessed Be" have gone gold in Finland, albums "Paris Kills" and "Devils" also platinum.

"Angels" was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa and Johnny Lee Michaels - the same infamous team that brought you "Devils".

The first single pick from the album was "Perfect Skin" - the video was directed by Ralf Strathmann and filmed in Hollywood in the mid October 2006. The commercial release of the single was January/February 2007. The additional tracks on the single are live versions of "Devils", "Christina Death" and "I Just Want to Have Something to Do" (orig. by the Ramones) recorded at Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood in March 2006. The single is an Opendisc with a link to bonus material.

The second single is "Never Say Die" - the video of which includes a whole bunch of The 69 Eyes' Hollywood-inner-circle party people as well as mySpace's world famous sleaze queen Forbidden was also directed by Ralf Strathmann and filmed around L.A. in January 2007. You can watch the both videos on The 69 Eyes official mySpace. The commercially released single also includes a B-side "Only Fools Don't Fall Once More".

"Angels" was released in the UK by Albert Productions. The UK version includes the both video singles. The 69 Eyes was also featured in various British mags like Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Big Cheese and Rock Sound  in June/July/August 2007 issues.

The album is out through Virgin/EMI elsewhere in Europe, through Caroline Records in the USA and through Toshiba/EMI in Japan. The album is an Opendisc with a link to bonus material.

Caroline Records has released a DELUXE LIMITED EDITION "ANGELS" & "DEVILS" DOUBLE DISC set plus DVD in the US. They have also re-released "Devils" in the US in March 2008.
 
The legendary Californian label Cleopatra Records has released the entire 69 Eyes' back catalogue in the US: "Framed In Blood- The Very Blessed Of..." compilation CD and the rest of the classic 69 albums are already out!!! The most recent Cleopatra 69 Eyes release is a 12" picture disc version of "Framed In Blood" and also "Gothic Girl" and "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" 7"s  - only on vinyl, baby!

Kaikki levyt on re-masteroitu sekä niillä on runsaasti lisämateriaalia. Lisäksi mukana on arkistojen aarteita goth'n'roll-vuosilta 1998-2003 sisältävä bonus-cd sekä 28-sivuinen kirjanen, jossa kappaleiden sanat sekä historiikki levyjen teosta.
